There are plenty of fun days out in the UK this summer, as well as the usual social events.

Air Tattoo

The Royal International Air Tattoo takes place over a weekend this July in Swindon, Wiltshire. It is an opportunity to see impressive military aircraft on display and there are enough activities for a great family day out. Expect to see jaw-dropping, dramatic displays of the Red Arrows and Spanish Navy Harriers who are planning to fly on all three days. It will be a spectacle in the skies! Silverstone Racing Events

There are great events for petrolheads (and all the family) at Silverstone this summer. The Formula 1 British Grand Prix takes place 12th – 14th July, tickets can be bought here.  It’s back to the past when classic cars provide historic motor racing from 26th – 28th July where there is also live music and a funfair. Buckingham Palace Summer Opening

During the summer, from 20th July – 29th September this iconic building opens its doors and visitors can explore the regal staterooms. There are also 16 hectares of beautifully landscaped gardens to explore outside, along with a garden Cafe to sit with a cup of something and enjoy the view. The Changing the Guard ceremony takes place at 11 am every day during the summer months. Book tickets here. 

British Athletics

The Muller anniversary games take place at the London Stadium on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st July this year. Showcasing the worlds best athletes with some of the biggest names in sports. British and International stars will be taking part in two days of track events. RHS Flower Show Tatton Park

Join the best garden party in the north! Get some great advice from expert gardeners and buy tools and plants for your garden. This horticultural event takes place 17th – 21st July in Cheshire.
